Join us on the Saturday of Park(ing) Day Weekend for our second annual 2-mile(ish) walking tour of some of Detroit’s most (in)famous surface parking lots. This year, we’ll tour the “District Detroit” area, rich with surface parking lots that used to be buildings.

On this tour you’ll learn about the buildings that have been demolished for surface parking and how Detroiters can push for common-sense reform to preserve our downtown, add affordable housing and urban amenities while building a more sustainable future. This event is free and open to all. Tour will depart from Cass Park. Look for the people wearing Detroiters for Parking Reform logo tees. We will wrap up this tour (and drown our sorrows and woe) at Temple Bar for beverages and some fun and easy collective action at the conclusion of the tour.

No cost to join but donations are glady accepted.
